This dedicatory writing to the building describing the construction and repair work of Geunjeongjeon Hall, the main throne hall of Gyeongbokgung Palace, was discovered in 2001 during on-site restoration underneath the ridge beam on the upper layer of its roof. According to the documents recording the details of construction, the writing was composed by CHO Dusun (1796-1870) and hand-written by KIM Byeongdeok (1825-1892), two eminent civil officials in the late Joseon.
